Do you integrate with QuickBooks?

Automated budgeting with multi-user access for QuickBook users is now possible

You need to be flexible when analyzing variances, comparing budget to actual, and forecasting scenarios. But it takes time to pull the exact data you need from QuickBooks, and even more time to parse data for your team members.

Budgyt works with QuickBooks to automatically import classes, sub-classes, vendor, or donor/customer level data, with full transaction details. Whatever information you need for you or your budget managers, select and get automatic access. Save time for yourself, and empower your contributors to access the details themselves. It’s that simple.

In QuickBooks Online, you have various levels of hierarchy in your departmental structure (Class - Sub Class), and in your chart of accounts (Group - Account - Sub Account) just as you do in Budgyt (Regions - Departments, Header - Group - Category).

However, in QuickBooks Online it is possible to enter data at every level of your hierarchy, making it possible to enter data both at the Class, and the Sub Class levels. In doing this you lose some clarity in your data, as the Class level may now contain data that is consolidating from the Sub Classes which belong to that class, as well as data entered directly into the Class.

The same thing can occur in the hierarchy of the chart of accounts, where data may be entered at the Sub-Account, Account, and Group levels.

To avoid confusion, in Budgyt we only allow data to be entered at the Category (Account) and Department (Sub Class - or Class if you have no Sub Classes) levels. We would advise that you use the same discipline in QuickBooks.

If it is not possible to adjust the way you book data into QuickBooks Online, we can still import it to Budgyt, we will just create a new Sub Class or Sub Account into which we post the data that was entered into the higher level in QuickBooks Online.
